Who doesn’t love Meerkats, these little beauties was based on a picture I took recently at Hoo Zoo near Birmingham. They perched on the highest point and the adult was teaching what the job of lookout is. It was such a great moment I absolutely had to paint it.
The frame is a gorgeous natural ash wood - it’s heavy but 100% real sustainable wood. Painted on a Belle Arti Italian white canvas the whole painting including its frame is 67.5cm wide, 47.5 cm high and with only approx 3cm depth.
